CustomInk in Tyson's Corner Virginia is currently hiring for the following jobs:

About three weeks ago I joined this company, who's website enables people to design and order custom decorated products such as printed t-shirts and embroidered caps for their groups, events, gifts, and self-expression. Wine in the Woods and Dinosaur BBQ
Last year was such a blast, we've decided to do it all over again. On May 20th, we're planning a trip out to Wine in the Woods.

Afterwards there will be much food of the Dinosaur BBQ sort at our place. Let me know if you'll be joining us. And yes, we will pick you up at the metro at Greenbelt.

For those that don't read Express on their way to work (aka those with brain cells still intact), they announced that Al Franken is going to be at E Street Cinema tomorrow night following the screenings of his movie, Al Franken: God Spoke, at 7:15 and 9:40. I'd like to try for the 9:40 show, but MovieTickets.com isn't letting transactions go through for either showing, so I'll have to see if I can go to the theater tonight.

So Myspace (yes, yes I know I hate it too) is sponsoring a screening tomorrow night of Borat in Georgetown - over a month before its release into theaters. You've got to create a Myspace profile, befriend both Borat and Blackcarpet, put them in your top 4/8/whatever then print out your profile to get a ticket. The doors open at 9 p.m. and I'm probably going to go around 7 to get in line. Complete instructions are available in a bulletin when you befriend Blackcarpet.

Movie Screenings
If you guys haven't signed up on Ytic.com yet, you should (particularly you folks that are closer to the district). The site totally sucks, but they get passes to advanced screenings for a lot of movies. Once you have an account, you just select the movies you're interested in seeing, and either the day of or the day before the showing, they notify the people who won the passes. It kind of sucks that you don't get much notice - for example, I just found out that I've got passes for This Film Is Not Yet Rated tonight at 7:30 - but hey, free movies, so I can't complain.

And just for perspective, I've won passes for 4 or 5 movies since I signed up a few weeks ago. Aside from one up in Friendship Heights, they all took place in DC proper.

4th update
I’ll definitely be in DC with my sister on the 4th. Whoever wants to join us on the Mall is welcome to do so. One of my future housemates said she might be there on the 4th too with some of her friends from California so we might meet up on the mall with her group too. Who all is going to be in DC on the 4th?

4th of July plans?
My sister is thinking about coming down to C-Ville for the 4th of July and we thought DC would be more fun. Is there anything good going on for the 4th or the weekend before the 4th in the DC area?

upcoming stuff
Hey kids. Just a friendly reminder that the National Cherry Blossom Festival is coming up. It starts this weekend and goes until April 9. Pat and I are planning to go either the 1st or the 8th, dependant on the weather. On the 1st theres fireworks but on the 8th theres the parade and street festival. I know a bunch of you want to go to so lets just go together.

Also, I wanted to put the idea out there of a little road trip to Philly. Theres a wicked cool exhibit at the Franklin Institute of Body Worlds until April 23rd. I'm planning for probably the weekend of the 15th (or maybe the 8th if we go to the festival on the 1st) if you wanna go up to Philly for the day and come back at night. Its about 2 hours from our place and everyone is free to crash.

Let me know if you want to get together for either of these things and date preferences if you have any. Unfortunately this weekend and the weekend of April 23rd are out for me due to the birthdays of my folks.
